Eric came in like he had been stranded in the snow covered mountains all night. Wet, cold, exhausted from moving snow which started at 6:30. No boys to help. All are away to college except Devin and the broken collarbone keeps him from lending a hand.
Many are concerned about heavy snow on roof tops with a layer of ice underneath. Lincoln Elementary has 7 rooms where ceilings are wet and dripping into huge garbage cans. Our poor roof is heavy with the weight of snow as you can see from the photo.
Our mail box looks as though it has a Santa hat on top. It takes work just to keep it accesable for the mail lady. We ask ourselves at times, "What in heavens name are we doing choosing to live in this kind of weather?" I have to reflect on a lot of positive things and then dream of a cruise or Hawaii.

That is insane. I haven't seen snow like that in a LONG time.
